Irena Smith
Irena Smith is a vocalist, guitarist, and pianist who grew up in Bergen, Norway... Irena studied voice, music, and theater from a young age and attended arts high school where she developed a theater company for kids and began teaching. She went on to spend time at Testrup Art School in Denmark, and afterwards moving to Copenhagen before relocating to the Bay Area. She has lived in San Francisco for four years developing a roster of music students, adults and children, on guitar voice, and piano. Irena teaches music classes at many area pre-schools through "MusicForPreschools.com", which provides songs, musical games, and instrumental jamming for young children... Until recently resigning, Irena was very active as a popular teacher for Music Together of San Francisco. Currently, she is recording her original kid's music for an upcoming CD release. Her duo "Milkshakes and Pancakes" which she plays in with her husband Joshua explores Americana and folk music both modern and traditional... |
